Wingate, N.C.----Due to the threat of inclement weather throughout the region this weekend, the Wingate University men's lacrosse season opener has been postponed. The fifth-ranked Bulldogs were scheduled to host #17 North Greenville Sunday at 2 p.m., but due to the threat of snow this weekend, the contest has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 3. The contest will get underway at 3 p.m. at Irwin Belk Stadium and Founders Field.
The 'Dogs will now have a pair of home games next week, starting with the top-20 showdown against North Greenville Tuesday. Wingate welcomes Florida Southern to town Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. The 'Dogs then travel to Florida Tech the following weekend, before returning home Wednesday, Feb. 25 to host two-time defending national champion Adelphi at 3 p.m.
