RESULTS | SAC championships live results

Winston-Salem, N.C.----The three-time defending champion Wingate University indoor track and field teams look to defend their titles Saturday and Sunday, as the Bulldogs venture to the JDL Fast Track for the 2026 South Atlantic Conference indoor championship meet. Both Wingate teams claimed the top spot in the 2025 SAC indoor event at the same facility.

The Bulldog men's indoor track and field team is ranked No. 2 in the latest edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II ratings index, while the Wingate women are No. 14. Both Bulldog indoor teams are No. 1 in the Southeast Region.

What They Are Saying
Wingate director of cross country and track and field Matt van Lierop

"The track and field Bulldogs are ready to defend their titles this weekend. We always train with outdoors in mind, but take an indoor detour, used as a bit of a mid-semester checkpoint for us to say 'how's our fitness now?' With this being said, we still throw it down…going for as many personal bests, season bests, school records, conference records, NCAA qualifiers, etc., as physically possible."
