Kingsport, Tenn.----The nationally-ranked Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams are participating in the South Atlantic Conference championship meet at the Kingsport Aquatic Center this week. The Saturday night finals will start at 5 p.m.
 
Wingate's Saturday AM highlights
 
Event 27
Women's 1650 Freestyle
 
Wingate will have four student-athletes swimming in the last heat of the timed finals, led by Livia Kingsland. Only one student-athlete has a faster seed time than Kingsland's 17:03.70.
 
Event 28
Men's 1650 Freestyle
 
The Bulldog men will have four swimmers in the last heat of the timed finals. Leading the way for Wingate is newcomer Emil Heigre. Only one student-athlete has a faster seed time than Heigre's 15:30.99.
 
Event 29
Women's 100 Freestyle

Three Bulldogs will swim in Saturday evening's championship final, led by Natalia Dwojak and team captain Nina Azirovic. Dwojak swam a 51.44 in the morning session, while Azirovic posted a time of 51.32.
 
Event 20
Men's 100 Freestyle
 
Yassine Sebbata leads four Bulldogs into Saturday night's 100 Freestyle championship final. Sebbata swam the fastest Saturday AM qualifying time, thanks to his 44.23 posting.

Event 31
Women's 200 Backstroke
 
Four Bulldogs will compete in Saturday night's championship final. Nicol Bellardi posted Wingate's fastest morning time with her 2:02.61 clocking.
 
Event 32
Men's 200 Backstroke
 
Andreas Carrascal had Wingate's fastest Saturday morning time, thanks to his 1:50.25 effort. Three teammates will join him in the Saturday night final: Ney Chagas Filho, Carlo Baraldi and Joel Thompson.
 
Event 33
Women's 200 Breaststroke
 
Friday night heroine Natalia Dwojak leads four Wingate student-athletes into Saturday night's championship final. Dwojak swam a 2:20.18 in the Saturday morning session.
 
Event 34
Men's 200 Breaststroke
 
Bulldog newcomers Filippo Tabladini (2:03.46) and Nicolo Cariboni (2:03.76) swam Wingate's fastest qualifying times.
 
Event 35 and Event 36
Women's and Men's 400 Freestyle Relay
 
The 400 Freestyle Relay for both women and men conclude the fourth and final South Atlantic Conference championship meet.
