Evansville, Ind.----Wingate University sophomore
Fernando Dehaudt and the women's 200 Medley Relay quartet earned first team All-American honors at the NCAA Division II swimming and diving national championships Wednesday night. This year's event is being contested inside the
Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Indiana.
The Wingate women's 200 Medley Relay quartet finished fifth with a new school-record time of 1:39.39. Team members include senior team captains
Nina Azirovic and
Natalia Dwojak, junior
Vera Karlsson and freshman
Mathilda Sandberg. Azirovic swam a blazing 22.88 50 Freestyle to finish the race for the Bulldogs.
Dehaudt finished sixth in the men's 1000 Freestyle with his time of 9:01.75. He earned first team All-American honors in the event after claiming honorable mention AA laurels as a freshman. Bulldog newcomer
Emil Heigre received honorable mention All-American honors in the same race, finishing 13th with his time of 9:06.85.

The Wingate men finished 11th with a new school record time of 1:26.89, claiming honorable mention All-American laurels. Team members include senior team captain

Andres Martijena, junior team captain
Mike Topchanalis and sophomore
Yassine Sebbata. On the last leg, Sebbata swan a 19.64 50 Freestyle.
Men's 50 Freestyle
Sebbata received honorable mention All-America, finishing 14th with his time of 19.83.
Women's 200 Individual Medley
Freshman
Nisa Gul Serdar took 12th place with her time of 2:03.37. She receives honorable mention All-American distinction.
