Newberry, S.C.----The 15th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up an impressive 4-2 victory at #13 Newberry College Wednesday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. The Bulldogs improve to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in the SAC, while the Wolves fall to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in league play.  

DOUBLES

- Daniela Kotara teamed with Anastasia Oktiabreva for a 6-4 win at one doubles
- Claudia Vallejos and Mariia Bobrovska prevailed 6-4 at three doubles
- Fernanda Castillo and Honomi Wantanbe were tied 5-5 in set two
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Oktiabreva rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at one singles
- Castillo rolled to a 6-2, 6-0 victory at three singles
- Wantanbe cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at four singles
- Vallejos was heading to a third set, dropping a 7-6 opening set, then winning set two 7-6 at two singles
