Both Wingate squads take down Carson-Newman to move to 7-0 in league play

Jefferson City, Tenn.----The 24th-ranked Wingate University men's tennis team rolled to a 4-0 victory at Carson-Newman University, while the ninth-ranked women prevailed 4-2 in South Atlantic Conference tennis action. The men improve to 10-5 overall and 7-0 in the SAC, while the women go to 12-3 overall and 7-0 in league play.

- Emil Remsted and Martino Colabella won 7-5 at one doubles
- Riku Ogasawara and Jashan Joachim rolled to a 6-1 win at three doubles
- The 'Dogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Remsted prevailed 7-5, 6-2 at three singles
- Rodrigo de la Torre collected a 6-3, 6-4 victory at four singles
- Joachim rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win at six singles

- Fernanda Castillo teamed with Honomi Wantanbe for a 6-4 win at two doubles
- Claudia Vallejos and Mariia Bobrovska won 7-5 at three doubles
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Castillo won 6-2, 6-2 at three singles
- Wantanbe cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at four singles
- Brooke LaFrenz notched a 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 victory at six singles
