No. 5 Wingate’s Beeden and Lamm earn individual honors; Four ’Dogs named All-SAC

Rock Hill, S.C.----The No. 5 Wingate University men's golf team headlines the 2026 South Atlantic Conference awards, earning two of the league's top individual honors. Senior All-American Lewis Beeden has been named the SAC Men's Golfer of the Year, while head coach JD Lamm earns SAC Coach of the Year honors, as announced by league officials.
 
Wingate placed four student-athletes on the All-South Atlantic Conference teams, continuing a strong season for one of the nation's top programs. Beeden, along with teammates Brandon Skidmore and Alfie Storer, were named first team All-SAC. The No. 1 ranked player in NCAA Division II, Beeden leads the Bulldogs with a 69.6 scoring average while collecting two individual victories and multiple top finishes throughout the season.
 
A sophomore ranked No. 18 nationally, Skidmore also earned first team honors after posting a 70.4 scoring average. He notched one victory and a top-three finish. The 2025 All-American's consistent play has been a key factor in Wingate's success this season.
 
Storer joins his teammates on the first team, further showcasing the depth at the top of the Bulldogs' lineup. Ranked No. 28 nationally, the senior has posted a 70.6 scoring average across 30 rounds, recording one victory and one top-three finish while consistently contributing to Wingate's success throughout the season.
 
Freshman Mattia D'Errico earned second team All-SAC recognition. Ranked No. 32 nationally, D'Errico posted a 70.7 scoring average while contributing steady performances throughout the season. All four Bulldogs earned All-SAC honors following a season that has seen Wingate remain among the top teams in NCAA Division II.
 
Lamm has guided the Bulldogs to another strong campaign, with Wingate consistently competing at a high level against elite fields. His leadership continues to position the program as one of the premier teams in the region and nation.

Next on the agenda for No. 5 Wingate is the South Atlantic Conference championship, taking place April 19-21 on The Preserve at Verdae layout in Greenville, South Carolina. Following stroke play, the top four teams will advance to medal match play Tuesday as the Bulldogs hope to make a run at the conference title.
