Senior David Sanctis (Charlotte, N.C.) helped the Wingate men’s cross country team finish second (out of 10 teams) in the Wingate University Invitational at the WU Cross Country facility.
 
An All-South Atlantic Conference performer in 2008, Sanctiswas sixth with an 8K time of 28:46. Wingate placed four runners in the top 12 Saturday.
 
The Anderson (S.C.) University cross country teams swept the team titles at the 2009 Wingate University Invitational Saturday morning. The Trojans edged the home-standing Bulldogs by two points to take the men’s title. The race serves as the pre-regional meet for the 2009 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional that will be hosted by Wingate on Nov. 7.
