Freshman guard/forward Josh Dominguez (Matthews, N.C.) scored a career-high 20 points in Saturday's South Atlantic Conference contest against Carson-Newman. 

Dominguez went seven-for-13 from the field and six-of-11 from three-point range Saturday afternoon, adding five rebounds for the Bulldogs. He knocked down four-of-five shots from the field in the first half, scoring a team-high 11 points in the opening 20 minutes. 

Dominguez is third on the team with 10.9 points per game, shooting 50 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from three-point range. He ranks third among SAC freshmen in scoring this season. He has scored in double figures in six of Wingate's 10 games this year, helping the Bulldogs start the year 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the SAC.
