Wingate University junior guard Jaime Vaughn shot 61.5 percent from the floor and averaged 21.5 points per game as Wingate split two contests last week. In a 63-61 road victory at Catawba Wednesday, Vaughn hit seven-of-10 field goals en route to a 19-point performance. The All-SAC guard had 24 markers in a narrow 76-74 double overtime home loss to Tusculum Sunday night.

Last year, Vaughn finished in the top 10 in three league statistical categories. He was third in three-point field goal percentage (43.7 percent), fourth in free throw percentage (81.2 percent) and eighth in three-point field goals made per game (1.86). Vaughn finished the season second on the team (and 15th in the SAC) with his 11.7 points per game average.
