Wingate University sophomore forward Odell Turner averaged 19.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game as the Bulldogs won two games last week. The 2010 SAC Freshman of the Year shot 68.8 percent from the floor (11-of-16) as the road-warrior Bulldogs defeated Lenoir-Rhyne 67-58 and Tusculum 61-50.
 
At Lenoir-Rhyne, Turner had 23 points and 11 rebounds Wednesday. He hit seven-of-nine field goals against the Bears. At Tusculum, the Myers Park High School product posted team-bests with 16 points, eight rebounds and a career-high six blocked shots.
 
On the season, Turner is averaging team-high totals of 14.6 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. He tops the Wingate charts in field goal percentage (51.6) and steals (29). During his freshman season, Turner led the Bulldogs with 12.1 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.
