Mount Olive, N.C.----The Wingate University softball doubleheader at Mount Olive College has a new date. The twin bill was originally scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday). Due to heavy rains in Eastern N.C., the two teams will play Thursday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs enter the NCAA Division II Southeast Region twin bill 11-1 overall. Last year, Wingate earned a spot in the 2009 NCAA Division II post-season following a South Atlantic Conference regular season title. In 14 Wingate seasons, Bulldog head coach Michelle Caddigan has compiled a 448-214-3 overall record.

Wingate’s 43 Academic All-America® honorees (lifetime) is tops among all SAC schools.
