Erin Murphy (Mooresville, N.C.) had a WU career-high six goals and dished out one assist for good measure, boosting the Bulldogs to an 18-1 South Atlantic Conference victory over Lincoln Memorial at the Rocky Top Sports Complex Wednesday. Wingate is 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the SAC. Lincoln Memorial falls to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the SAC.

Wingate scored the first 11 goals of the game and never looked back. Seven different players contributed to the flurry, led by Andrews with three goals. Murphy and Nosek added two goals each to the 11-0 push. Andrews scored her team-best 21st goal of the season to end the run with 10:43 left in the first half.
The Bulldogs outshot the Railsplitters 41-4. Wingate picked up 30 ground balls, compared to 14 for LMU. The hosts from Tennessee had 26 turnovers, compared to 14 for their North Carolina visitors. Wingate won 16 of the 21 draw controls.
Wingate returns home Saturday, hosting Young Harris for a 1 p.m. contest at the Irwin Belk Track Complex turf field. Lincoln Memorial visits Catawba the same day and time for a SAC encounter. Due to weather concerns, the first-year LMU Railsplitters have yet to play a home game on their campus field.
