Wingate, N.C.----In a battle featuring the top two teams in the league, defending SAC and region champion Wingate University held Anderson to a .050 hitting percentage en route to an impressive 3-0 victory in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action in a packed Cuddy Arena Friday night. Wingate won by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-20 to improve to 6-0 overall and 1-0 in league play. Anderson fall to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.

- Learmonth's kill got AU back within four, but kills from Schaff and Lambillotte made it 22-14
- A Lambillotte kill put the 'Dogs on top 24-16; Warren's kill ended the frame

SECOND SET
- Two Taylor Weber kills gave Anderson a 9-5 lead
- Two kills and a block from Alles got the Bulldogs back within one
- Back-to-back Learmonth kills pushed the AU lead back to three
- Wingate scored six of the next seven, getting three Warren kills to take a 16-14 lead
- Two blocks and a kill from Young sparked a 4-0 run that put the 'Dogs on top 21-16
- Another Young block made it 24-18; Young's kill ended the set
- Wingate hit .205 with 14 kills and five errors; Anderson hit .038 with 11 kills and nine errors
THIRD SET
- Two Schaff kills and a Lambillotte kill put Wingate on top 8-6
- A Hannah Worsham kill tied it at 12
- The 'Dogs scored six of the next seven points, getting two kills and two blocks from Schaff to take an 18-13 lead
- An Emily Conlin kill got Anderson back within three at 20-17
- A kill and an ace from Alles, followed by a Lambillotte kill made it 24-17
- Lambillotte ended the match with a kill
