#25 Wingate moves to 9-0 on the year with sweep at Queens

Charlotte, N.C.----The 25th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs are now the only team without a conference loss, after rolling to a 3-0 victory at Queens University in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action. Wingate won by scores of 25-17, 25-23 and 25-22 to improve to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in league play, while the Royals fall to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the SAC.

SECOND SET

- Two Logan Witt blocks gave Queens a 10-6 lead
- Kills from Schaff, Lambillotte, Young and Alles got Wingate within a point
- A JayCee Jones ace gave the Royals a 15-10 advantage
- Two Schaff kills and a Kasprak ace got the 'Dogs within one, but a WU error put Queens on top 19-16
- A Schaff block got WU back within one, but a Wingate error gave the Royals a 20-18 advantage
- The Bulldogs scored the next four points, with kills from Schaff and Young tying it and an Ortiz ace giving WU a 22-20 lead
- A Chanel Turner kill tied it at 23
- Lambillotte gave the 'Dogs a 24-23 edge with a kill; a block from Warren and Young ended the set

THIRD SET

- Back-to-back Turner kills put the Royals on top 9-5
- Wingate used a 6-0 run to take a 12-10 lead
- Schaff started the flurry with a kill and a block; Warren capped it with back-to-back kills
- A Young ace and Schaff kill put the 'Dogs on top by four, but a Witt kill tied it at 20
