Bulldogs take second place in Emory Fall Invite

Atlanta, Ga.----The nationally-ranked Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams finished second in the two-day Emory Fall Invitational, hosted by the EU Eagles at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center this weekend.
 
On the men's side, the No. 7 Bulldogs had 523 points. NCAA Division III No. 1 Emory took the team crown with 759 points. Carson-Newman was third with 419 points. The University of the Cumberlands earned fourth place on the men's charts.
 
The No. 5 Wingate women posted 500.5 points. NCAA Division III No. 2 Emory had 820 points to claim the victory. No. 14 Carson-Newman was third with 412.5 points. NCAA Division I Georgia Southern and NAIA Cumberlands were fourth and fifth, respectively.
