Box Score 3 Conroe, Texas----The Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a pair of victories on Saturday in the Division II Softball First Pitch Invitational. Wingate defeated Washburn 3-1, then prevailed 4-3 against Texas A&M International. The 'Dogs closed out the weekend with a 5-2 loss against Southern Arkansas Sunday.

Sydney Kale delivered the game-winning two-run single, driving home
Savanna Brooks and Stevens to make it 3-1.
Lily Huneycutt got the win, tossing 1 1/3 shutout frames with a strikeout.
WINGATE 4 TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL
A Brooks homer started the scoring for the Bulldogs as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second. Texas A&M International scored three in the third to take the lead, but a
Kaylee Hobgood sacrifice fly in the fourth tied it. Hobgood led off the seventh with a single, then moved to second on a
Heavean Maness sacrifice. Brooks ripped a two-out, RBI double to left to give Wingate the walk-off win.
Raechel Cutcher worked the final two innings to earn the win, striking out two without allowing a run.
SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 5 WINGATE 2
Wingate took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning. Kale's RBI double tied it at one, while
Hali Scott's RBI single put the 'Dogs on top. Southern Arkansas responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame to take a two-run lead. Another run in the sixth made the final margin 5-2.
