Wingate, N.C.----The No. 1 Wingate University women's golf team concludes its semester with the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Anderson University hosts this event at the
Currahee Golf Club in Toccoa, Georgia.

Wingate is No. 1 in the first NCAA Division II Scoreboard powered by Clippd power rankings for the 2025-26 season. The Bulldogs' No. 1 status is the highest ranking in the school's history. Wingate advanced to the NCAA Division II quarterfinals for the first time in 2025.

Tournament organizers made a weather-related change to the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational schedule Saturday, moving round one from Monday to Sunday. The second round is Monday, while the third and final round is Tuesday. The Bulldogs look to continue their winning ways, as Wingate has won four tournaments in four tries this season.

Wingate's Bochaton earns SAC Golfer of the Week honors

Wingate sophomore All-American
Amely Bochaton was the South Atlantic Conference Golfer of the Week for the reporting period ending October 14. Bochaton helped the Bulldogs win two tournaments in two weeks, averaging 69.8 strokes per round.

The 2025 WGCA National Player of the Year won her eighth career individual title at the St. Simons Intercollegiate October 6-7 with a seven-under-par 209. On the team charts, Wingate completed 54 holes at seven-under-par 857. The Bulldogs finished 33 strokes ahead of second-place West Florida at 890.

Most recently, Bochaton finished third in the 12th annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial with her six-under-par 208. Wingate rallied from an eight-stroke deficit to take a six-shot triumph over Anderson in the Noble Memorial. The Bulldogs posted a new school-low, 54-hole score of 15-under-par 849.

Sophomores
Olivia Meinecke and
Amely Bochaton finished second and tied for third, respectively, at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial. Meinecke shot a career-low, eight-under-par 208. She equalled her career-best low 18 holes with her third round, four-under-par 68. Bochaton birdied her first five holes in the final round on the way to a six-under-par 66. She completed 54 holes at six-under-par 210.

Senior
Lauren Sutcliffe and sophomore
Haley Paramore both recorded career-low, 54-hole scores in the LeeAnn Noble Memorial. Sutcliffe concluded the tourney with a one-over-par 217. She sandwiched two 73s around a second-round 71. Paramore had a three-over-par 219. She shot an even-par 72 in the third round.
