Wingate, N.C.----The No. 1 Wingate University women's golf team opens second semester with the Battle at Hilton Head Monday and Tuesday. Lincoln Memorial hosts this event at the
Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes Golf Course in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Wingate is No. 1 in the most recent NCAA Division II Scoreboard powered by Clippd power rankings for the 2025-26 season. Wingate advanced to the NCAA Division II quarterfinals for the first time in 2025.

No. 1 Wingate finishes seventh in the 17-team D2 Elite Invitational

The No. 1 Wingate women's golf team finished seventh in the 17-team Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational Tuesday, October 28. The posted a 36-hole total of 598. Anderson University hosted this event at the
Currahee Golf Club. Due to weather conditions, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes.

Wingate's Bochaton finishes tied for second place at D2 Elite Invite

Wingate sophomore All-American
Amely Bochaton tied for second place at the D2 Elite Invite. She shot 72 in both rounds for an even-par 144. Sophomore
Olivia Meinecke tied for 17th place at 148. She carded a 73 Sunday and a 75 Tuesday. Meinecke led Wingate with five birdies in the final round.

Six of the top 10 teams are competing in the Battle at Hilton Head. In addition to No. 1 Wingate, No. 2 Dallas Baptist, No. 3 Anderson and No. 4 Findlay are participating. No. 9 North Georgia and No. 10 UIndy are also slated to appear.
