Atlanta, Ga.----The top-10 Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams finished second in the two-day Emory Fall Invitational, hosted by the EU Eagles at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center this weekend.

On the men's side, the No. 7 Bulldogs had 612 points. NCAA Division III No. 2 Emory took the team crown with 707 points. No. 19 Carson-Newman was third with 458 points. The No. 9 Wingate women posted 552 points. NCAA Division III No. 3 Emory had 780 points to claim the victory. No. 23 Carson-Newman was third with 412 points. NCAA Division I Georgia Southern and NAIA Savannah College of Art and Design were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Yassine Sebbata contributed to four victories (two individual, two relay)
- Individually, he won the 50 Free (20.27) and the 100 Free (43.73)
- He swam both the 400 Medley (3:14.13) and the 400 Free (2:56.66) Relays

Damir Ipkaev touched first in the 500 Free (4:26.69)

Artur Vilela de Queiroz had a team-best three silver medals with one gold
- Individual: 200 IM (1:49.02), 100 Breast (54.42) and 200 Breast (1:59.73)
- He joined Sebbata and two teammates to first in the 400 Medley Relay
- The WU men earned five gold medals, 11 silver medals and five bronze medals
