Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs stayed perfect on the season Friday night, rolling to a 250.920-213.145 victory over King University in Conference Carolinas Acro & Tumbling action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 5-0 on the year, while the Tornado fall to 4-1 overall.

The 'Dogs got off to a quick start in the Compulsory section, posting scores of 9.750, 9.50 and 9.150 to grab an early five-point lead. A 9.650 and 9.550 highlighted Wingate's Acro portion to stretch the advantage to nine.

A 9.60 in heat one and 9.90 in heat three of the Pyramid section helped the Bulldogs add three more points to the cushion, scoring 28.80 out of a possible 30 points in the Pyramid. The 'Dogs kicked off the Toss section with a 9.250 in the 450 Salto heat of the Toss section.

Wingate closed out the Tumbling section by posting a 9.575 in the 6-Element Pass and a 9.175 in the Open Pass. The Bulldogs closed out the night by posting an 82.40 in the Team Event to hit the 250-mark fourth time this season.

The Bulldogs are back in action Thursday, traveling to Belmont Abbey.
