Greenville, S.C.----The regular season conference champion Wingate University Bulldogs had a league-best seven student-athletes earn All-Conference Carolinas acro & tumbling honors Thursday morning, when league officials announced the regular season award winners.
Bella Crapis,
Gracelyn Grady and
Karli Woody are first team All-Conference honorees, with
Abigayle Heney,
Helen Molina,
Chloe Parker and
Amanda Stevens collecting second team accolades.
Crapis is a three-time Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Week honoree, earning Athlete honors once and Specialist honors a pair of times including the final week of the regular season. She also earned NCATA National Specialist of the Week accolades this year. Crapis set new program records in all 10 of the heats she competed in in addition to team event this season. Her season has been highlighted by a perfect 10.0 in the Open Pyramid (180 to extension vertical 1-man pyramid midlayer), a 9.9/10 in the Synchronized Pyramid (backbend pyramid midlayer), and an impressive 9.6/10 in the synchronized 6-Element Acro heat (walk-in + half-around + full off sequence base). Other notable scores include a 9.8/10 in the Compulsory Pyramid (midlayer), 9.6/9.9 in the 450 Salto Toss (double toss main base), 9.45/10 in the Compulsory Acro (basing all 3 sections), and a 9.0/9.4 in the Synchronized Toss (main base).
Grady is a two-time Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Week winner, while collecting NCATA National Specialist of the Week accolades in week three this season. Grady set new program records in all nine of the heats she competed in in addition to team event this season. Her season has been highlighted by main basing a back double toss (9.6/9.9) and being a key player in all three pyramid heats that earned a near-perfect 29.8 event score - a 9.9/10 Inversion Pyramid (unassisted hand-in-hand pyramid midlayer), a 9.9/10 Synchronized Pyramid (backbend), and tossing the Open Pyramid that received a perfect 10.0 score (180 to extension vertical 1-man pyramid). Other notable scores include a 9.8/10 in the Compulsory Pyramid (placer/catcher), a 9.0/9.4 in the Synchronized Toss (main base), and a 9.45/10 in the Compulsory Acro (base/backspot).
Woody has been named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month this season, while earning NCATA National Freshman of the Week accolades in the final week of the regular season. She has earned honorable mention Freshman of the Week honors twice this year. Woody competed in nine heats plus team event this season. Her performance is highlighted by a 9.8/10 in the Compulsory Pyramid, a 9.8/10 in the Synchronized Pyramid (backbend straddle pyramid), an impressive 9.6/10 in the synchronized 6-Element Acro heat (walk-in + half-around + full off sequence), a 9.6/9.9 in the 450 Salto Toss (back double toss top), a 9.45/10 in the Compulsory Acro, and a 9.0/9.4 in the Synchronized Toss. Woody is also the only freshman in the conference to earn a repeat-selection by the NCATA for a Freshman of the Week Honorable Mention this season.
Heney was the 2025 conference Freshman of the Year. She earned league Athlete of the Week accolades in week one this season. Heney set new program records in all 7 of the heats she competed in in addition to team event this season. Her highlights include topping an unassisted hand-in-hand pyramid (9.9/10), backbend straddle pyramid (9.9/10), and walk-in + half-around + layout full off sequence during the 6- and 7-Element Acro heats (9.6/10 and 9.7/10, respectively). Other notable contributions include an impressive 9.2/9.6 in the Open Toss (front double toss top) and a 9.8 in the Compulsory Pyramid (top).
Molina is competing in 10 heats plus the team event as a base/tumbler. Her performance is highlighted by backspotting a back double toss (9.55/9.9) and being a key player in all three pyramid heats that earned a near-perfect 29.8 event score - placing the Inversion Pyramid (9.9/10), backbending for Synchronized Pyramid (9.9/10), and primary basing the Open Pyramid (10.0/10). Other notable contributions include a 9.7/10 in the 7-Element Acro (base), a 9.8/10 in Compulsory Pyramid (placer/catcher), and a 9.45/10 in Compulsory Acro (base/backspot).
Parker was named the NCATA National Athlete of the Week in week three this season. The base/tumbler set new program records in all 10 heats she competed in this season. Her performance is highlighted by an impressive 9.375/9.55 in her individual pass (RO Whip Whip360 through to Full), a 9.8/9.95 in the 5-Element Acro, a 9.2/9.55 in the Duo Tumbling pass, and an impressive 9.1/10 in Compulsory Tumbling. Other notable contributions include a 9.9/10 in the Synchronized Pyramid, 9.0/9.4 in the Synchronized Toss, and tossing the Open Pyramid that earned back-to-back perfect 10s this season (180 to extension vertical 1-man pyramid).
Stevens is competing in eight heats plus the team event as a midlayer and base. Her performance is highlighted by backspotting a back double toss (9.65/9.9) and primary basing the Open Pyramid that earned back-to-back perfect 10s this season. Other notable contributions include a 9.9/10 in the Synchronized Pyramid (backbend pyramid midlayer), a 9.7/10 in the 7-Element Acro (base), and a 9.8/10 in the Compulsory Pyramid (primary base).
