Final Results

Belmont, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs picked up another conference road victory Thursday night, prevailing 244.465-233.615 at Belmont Abbey College in Conference Carolinas Acro & Tumbling action. The Bulldogs improve to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in league play, while the Crusaders fall to 0-5 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

Wingate opened up an early one-point lead by posting scores of 9.75, 9.25 and 9.00 in the Compulsory events. The 'Dogs added scores of 9.40, 9.25 and 9.40 in the Acro section to extend the advantage to four.

Wingate added another point to its lead by registering scores of 9.75, 9.65 and 9.45 in the Pyramid. The toss section was highlighted by a sore of 9.50 in the heat one 450 Salto.

The Bulldogs collected a score of 9.80 in the 6-Element heat of the Tumbling section, adding a 9.20 in the Open Pass and 8.975 in the Aerial Pass. Wingate closed out the night with a 75.89 in the team event to finish off the 11-point win.

The Bulldogs are back in action Thursday, hosting Bluefield State at 6 p.m.
