Valdosta, Ga.----The No. 3 Wingate University men's golf team continued play Friday at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, sitting eighth overall at one-over-par for the tournament heading into the final round at Valdosta Country Club.
 
The Bulldogs posted a two-over-par team score in round two, highlighted by strong scoring opportunities throughout the lineup. Wingate totalled 15 birdies across the five-man roster, keeping the Bulldogs in contention entering the final day.
 
Round two quick hits
 
- Lewis Beeden, the No. 1 ranked player in the nation, led the Bulldogs
- Beeden fired a three-under-par 69 with four birdies
- He continues to pace Wingate heading into the final round
- Cole Rouse delivered a steady even-par round
- Rouse recorded three birdies during round two
- Mattia D'Errico added four birdies in his second round
- He finished the day at two-over-par
- Brandon Skidmore carded a three-over-par round
- Skidmore added one birdie for the Bulldogs
