Wingate sophomore Athanette Tucker (Asheboro, N.C.) smashed her personal record twice in the Camel City Invitational shot put competition on Saturday, Jan. 30. She was the Bulldogs’ top finisher with her heave of 10.65 meters. On Friday, Tucker recorded a personal best in the weight throw (13.79 meters). In the 2015 South Atlantic Conference outdoor track meet, Tucker led the Bulldogs with her eighth-place showing in the shot put (10.52 meters).
