#25 Bulldogs hit season-high .353 in sweep over Coker

Wingate, N.C.----The 25th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs piled up 42 kills and hit a season-high .353 Tuesday night, while holding visiting Coker College to a .013 hitting percentage in a 3-0 victory in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-9, 25-21 and 25-9 to improve to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in league play. The Cobras fall to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in league play.

- Coker cut the lead to five, but the Bulldogs scored the next eight points to go on top 18-5
- Lambillotte started the flurry with two kills, while an Alles ace and Young block capped the spurt
- Two Abernathy kills, along with a block and a kill from Blackley made it 22-8
- Back-to-back Coker errors put Wingate on top 24-9; Lambillotte's kill ended the match
- Wingate hit .391 in the final frame, with 11 kills and two errors
- Coker had four kills and 10 errors, hitting -.214
