Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University junior
Colin Dutton (Foxfire, N.C.) is the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year award winner for men's golf. The SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award is presented annually to one student-athlete in each of the league's championship sports and is voted on by the Faculty Athletics Representatives (FAR) committee.
The winners are selected based on their achievements in academics, athletics, service and leadership. A second team All-South Atlantic Conference performer this season, Dutton holds a 3.770 GPA with his mathematics and business major. Dutton and his teammates are competing in the NCAA national tournament in Winter Garden, Florida this week.
