Hartsville, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs piled up a total score of 264.510 Sunday night, picking up victories over Coker (258.025) and Converse (226.410) in Conference Carolinas Acro & Tumbling action. The 'Dogs go to 3-0 overall, while Coker falls to 1-1 and Converse moves to 0-2.

Wingate posted scores of 9.75 in the Pyramid Heat and Toss Heat of the Compulsory section to take an early half-point lead over Coker. The 'Dogs had a big Acro section, going for 9.45 in the 5-Element, a 9.60 in the 6-Element and a 9.70 in the 7-Element to maintain the advantage.

The Bulldogs were nearly flawless int eh Pyramid section, posting a 9.90 in the Inversion Heat and Synchronized Heat, followed by a 10.0 in the Open Heat. The Toss section saw the 'Dogs go for a 9.55 in the 450 Salto and a 0.10 in the Open Heat.

Wingate had strong finish in the final three heats of the Tumbling section, posting a 9.375 in the Aerial Pass, a 9.625 in the 6-Element Pass and a 9.550 in the Open Pass. The Bulldogs closed things out by posting an 89.26 in the Team Event to secure a pair of victories.

The Bulldogs are back in action March 1, traveling to Presbyterian for a 6 p.m. start.
