Eleven Wingate women to compete in NCAA Division II nat’l championship meet

Indianapolis, Ind.----Twenty-five Wingate University swimming student-athletes will compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II swimming and diving championships in Evansville, Indiana March 10-14. Fourteen Bulldog men and 11 WU women will participate in the 2026 event.

- Nina Azirovic and Natalia Dwojak each qualify for their fourth NCAA meet
- Vera Karlsson qualifies for her third NCAA championship event
- Dwojak will swim in three individual events (50 FREE, 100 FREE, 100 BRST)
- She is the No. 5 seed in the 100 Breaststroke (1:01.53)
- Azirovic will make two individual appearances (100 FREE, 200 FREE)
- Mathilda Sandberg is the No. 11 seed in the 100 Butterfly (54.65)
- Wingate is eligible to compete in five-of-five relay races
- Most recently, the 'Dogs won the South Atlantic Conference meet in Tennessee

- They are Andres Martijena, Mike Topchanalis and Anton Witzell
- Newcomer Artur Vilela de Queiroz will swim in four events
- Vilela de Queiroz's events: 100 and 200 Breaststroke and 200 and 400 IM
- Yassine Sebbata will compete in three events; He is top 12 in each race
- Sebbata is the No. 3 seed in the 100 Freestyle (42.84)
- He is the No. 7 seed in the 200 Freestyle (1:35.12)
- Sebbata is the No. 12 seed in the 50 Freestyle (19.73)
- Wingate is eligible to compete in five-of-five relay races
- Most recently, Wingate won the South Atlantic Conference meet in Tennessee
