Kingsport, Tenn.----The nationally-ranked Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams are participating in the South Atlantic Conference championship meet at the Kingsport Aquatic Center this week. Preliminaries begin each morning at 10 a.m. Finals will start at 5 p.m.

Women's 100 Butterfly

Wingate will have three student-athletes swimming in Thursday evening's A final, led by SAC newcomer and top qualifier
Mathilda Sandberg. She swam a 54.86 in morning preliminaries.

The Bulldog men will have three swimmers in the A final. Leading the way for Wingate is
Vladimir Krstulovic. He swam the second-fastest time in the morning preliminaries (47.82).

Women's 400 Individual Medley
Five Bulldogs will swim in Thursday evening's A final, led by SAC newcomer
Nisa Gul Serdar. She posted the second-fastest time in the morning session (4:32.00)

Andreas Carrascal continues his solid SAC championship meet with Wingate's fastest qualifying time of 3:58.99. He is the No. 2 seed entering tonight's final.

Nina Azirovic swam a 1:52.13 to lead the Bulldogs in the morning session. She will be joined in the final by

Yassine Sebbata is one of four Bulldogs who will appear in the super-competitive A final. Seven of the eight swimmers posted an NCAA Division II B cut in the morning prelims. Wingate's Sebbata is the top seed with his Thursday AM time of 1:37.18.
