Indianapolis, Ind.----The top-ranked Wingate University women's golf team has officially secured its spot in the NCAA Division II Regionals, continuing a historic season for the Bulldogs. Wingate will travel to Cleveland, Tennessee to compete at Cleveland Country Club from May 4-6, as the Bulldogs look to carry their momentum into postseason play.
 
The regional berth comes after a dominant spring campaign, highlighted by a South Atlantic Conference championship that included both stroke play and match play titles. Wingate has maintained its position as the No. 1 team in NCAA Division II, proving itself as one of the nation's elite programs.
 
Season highlights
 
- Wingate won the SAC stroke play portion and swept through match play
- The Bulldogs recorded eight team victories throughout the season
- Wingate maintained the No. 1 national ranking in NCAA Division II
- The team posted a 286.6 scoring average with nine top-three finishes
- Amely Bochaton (NCAA No. 1) led the way with multiple individual victories and a team-best scoring average
- Olivia Meinecke (top-five nationally) added a win and several top-three finishes
- Wingate's lineup featured five nationally ranked players, showcasing elite depth
 
What's next
 
The Bulldogs now turn their focus to NCAA Division II Regionals, where they will look to continue their strong form and earn a spot in the NCAA Championships. With a balanced lineup, elite top-end talent and championship experience, Wingate enters regionals as one of the favorites to advance. Wingate's selection marks another milestone in what has been the most successful season in program history, as the Bulldogs aim to carry their momentum into the national stage.
