Wingate University junior Jabrea Greene (Winston-Salem, N.C.) was fifth in the women’s 100 hurdles at the University of South Carolina’s Weems Baskin Invitational Saturday. Greene was the second-fastest Division II runner in the 100 hurdles. Greene was fifth (16.52), while Fort Valley State’s Adrienne Parnell was fourth (16.28).
 
Greene was third in the 100 meter hurdles (16.00) at the PowerSox Invitational, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne at the Irwin Belk Track March 2. The NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time for the 100 meter hurdles is 14.40. The next event for the Wingate track and field teams is Friday and Saturday, as the Bulldogs venture to North Carolina State University for the Raleigh Relays. The Bulldogs set several school records at last year’s competition.
