Wingate University junior running back Nestor Lantigua (Wellington, Fla.) rushed 27 times for 144 yards (both career-highs) and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs earned a 41-33 South Atlantic Conference road football victory over Tusculum Saturday. Wingate (4-3 overall, 3-2 SAC) wins its third consecutive game.
 
Lantigua gave the ‘Dogs a 34-25 lead when he scored on a two-yard run five seconds into the fourth quarter. A four-yard punt gave Wingate a short field, as the Bulldogs moved the ball 29 yards on eight plays. He scored a second quarter TD (10:01) to cut Wingate’s first half deficit to 22-20.
