Wingate senior Brittany Vish (Raleigh, N.C.) made her cross country debut one to remember, as the Sanderson High School product finished fourth in the Wingate University Invitational with a 6K time of 25:31. The Bulldogs placed five runners in the top 16 to secure second place on the team charts.

The Anderson (S.C.) University cross country teams swept the team titles at the 2009 Wingate University Invitational Saturday morning. The Trojans topped host Wingate by 18 points to win the women’s crown. The race serves as the pre-regional meet for the 2009 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional that will be hosted by Wingate on Nov. 7.
