#24 Wingate stays perfect on the year with 3-1 victory over Newberry

Wingate, N.C.----The 24th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs stayed unbeaten on the year, prevailing 3-1 against Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-15 to improve to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in league play. Newberry falls to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the SAC.

- A Kylee Kanealey ace put the Wolves on top 10-4

- A Kanealey kill pushed the advantage back to six for the Wolves at 17-11
- Kills from Warren and Alles, along with a Warren block got WU within one at 19-18
- A Wingate error gave Newberry a 22-19 edge, but the Bulldogs scored the next four
