#25 Bulldogs down Augusta and Converse to move to 4-0 on the year

Charlotte, N.C.----The Bulldogs wrapped up a perfect opening weekend by picking up a pair of victories Saturday on day two of the Queens Fall Classic in NCAA Division II volleyball action. Wingate defeated Converse 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-18, 25-21) Saturday morning, while sweeping past Augusta (25-22, 25-20, 25-12) in the afternoon to finish off a 4-0 weekend in Charlotte.

- Wingate had 49 kills and 26 errors, hitting .164
- Converse hit -.038 with 27 kills and 32 errors
- Wingate piled up 15 blocks compared to Converse's four

- Kills from Lambillotte and Abernathy gave the Bulldogs a 9-7 advantage
- A Brittany Tepedino block put Converse on top 11-10
- Wingate countered with a 4-0 run to take a 14-11 lead, Abernathy had two blocks in the spurt while Schaff added two kills
