No. 2 Wingate competes in the LeeAnn Noble Memorial this week

Wingate, N.C.----The No. 2 Wingate University women's golf team competes in the 12th annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial Monday and Tuesday. The University of North Georgia hosts this annual event at the Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega.
 
In the 2024 LeeAnn Noble Memorial, Wingate's Amely Bochaton earned medalist honors with a 17-under-par 199. Her effort was a new WU low score for 54 holes. The Bulldogs finished third on the '24 Noble Memorial team charts behind Anderson and North Georgia.

No. 2 Wingate and Bochaton win St. Simons Intercollegiate titles
 
The No. 2 Wingate University women's golf team won its third 2025-26 tournament in as many tries last week, taking the title at the St. Simons Intercollegiate. The Bulldogs completed 54 holes at seven-under-par 857. Wingate finished 33 strokes ahead of second-place West Florida at 890. Lincoln Memorial hosted this event at The King and The Prince Beach & Golf Club.
 
Bochaton won her eighth career individual title with a seven-under-par 209, outdistancing Lenoir-Rhyne junior Eve Neild by five shots. Bochaton shot a five-under-par 67 in the third and final round, equalling the event's best round.
 
Sophomore Olivia Meinecke, junior Jacqueline Gonzalez Howard and senior Thalia Perez-Vieco joined Bochaton on the all-tournament team. Meinecke finished third with her 54-hole total of even-par 216. Gonzalez Howard and Perez-Vieco tied for fourth place at two-over-par 218.

Wingate will see many familiar faces in the Noble Memorial. The field includes Anderson, Carson-Newman, Catawba, Columbus State, Erskine, Florida Southern, Lander, Lee, Lincoln Memorial, Missouri-St. Louis, Montevallo, North Georgia, Saint Leo, USC Beaufort, West Florida and Wingate.
