Junior libero Stephanie Tassone (Chicago, Ill.) earned SAC Specialist of the Week honors for the first time in her career Monday afternoon. Tassone piled up 33 digs in Wingate's two sweeps last week, averaging 5.50 digs per set. Wingate earned its highest ranking in program history Monday, ranking 10th in the AVCA top 25. The Bulldogs are 17-2 overall and 13-0 in the SAC.

Tassone opened the week with 14 digs, an assist and an ace against Newberry on Friday. She posted 19 digs on Saturday in the sweep at Anderson. Tassone is fourth in the conference with 4.68 digs per set.

The Bulldogs return home Tuesday night after a successful four-match road trip, hosting Queens at 7 p.m. Wingate will host Catawba Friday night at 7 p.m. The seven-time defending SAC regular season and tournament champion Bulldogs have won 14 consecutive matches this year and 28 straight league contests.
