Wingate University junior All-American Jon Ander (Bilbao, Spain) had a pair of goals in Sunday afternoon's 3-0 victory over Limestone in the NCAA Southeast Regional semifinals.
The 2015 SAC Player of the Year, Ander found the back of the net seven minutes into the second half, two minutes after Callum Ross got the Bulldogs on the board. Ander's first goal of the day made it 2-0. The two-time All-SAC selection put the game away in the 72nd minute with his second goal of the day, making it 3-0.
Ander has seven goals and a team-best 10 assists for the top-ranked Bulldogs. He leads Wingate in points, while ranking second in the SAC in assists, third in points and ninth in goals. Ander and the Bulldogs are back in action Friday, hosting defending national champion Pfeiffer at 7 p.m. in the regional title match.
