Wingate University junior center Marta Miscenko (Riga, Latvia) earned SAC Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career for her efforts in two Bulldog wins last week. 

Miscenko averaged 19.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game as the Bulldogs won two non-conference games last week to improve to 8-3 overall on the season. On Thursday, she posted her sixth double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to a 71-56 victory over Chowan, adding seven blocks. Miscenko had 17 points and eight boards as Wingate led wire-to-wire in a 67-54 home win over USC Aiken. Miscenko hit 18-of-32 field goal attempts last week (56.3 percent).

On the season, she is averaging 17.1 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. She is fifth on the SAC individual scoring charts and third on the league's rebounding list, while leading the league in blocked shots.
