Wingate University sophomore goalie Arion Pierre (Haymarket, Va.) collected a pair of victories last week, leading the Bulldogs to an 8-4 win over Edinboro and a 16-8 victory at Lincoln Memorial. Pierre piled up 20 saves in the two wins, compiling a save percentage of 62.5 percent. With the two wins, the Bulldogs are now 6-2 overall and 1-1 in SAC play.
She had 11 saves in Sunday’s win at LMU, while collecting nine saves in the Edinboro victory. The AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, Pierre leads the league in save percentage (54.4 percent), while ranking second in goals-against average. She has piled up 74 saves on the season.
